She joined Farrell, Patel, Jomarron & Lopez on October 2018 as a Law Clerk and now she is an
Associate of the firm. Mariana attended the University of Puerto Rico in Cayey, where she obtained
her bachelor's degree biology. She started attending the Pontifical Catholic University of Puerto
Rico, Law School, were she obtained her JD in 2008. In her last year, she served as a student
attorney in the Legal Aid Clinic of the Pontifical Catholic University of Puerto Rico Law School, where
she represented the clients on criminal cases. She also did her Legal Clinic in Legal Services of
Puerto Rico, where she provided legal representation to indigent members of the community, in civil
matters. Mariana has been defending bodily injury, labor and criminal cases for the last 11 years. In
the last two years, she has been working as part of the litigators defending clients against the
interest of insurance companies that routinely and unjustly delay, deny fair compensation to policy
holders. Mariana is an attorney with strong decision making, negotiating and problem-solving skills
necessary to resolve complex disputes through settlement, dispositive motions in advance of trial or
through trial to a final judgment or award, and appeals. She was part of the PRO BONO program.
She is a member of the Puerto Rico Bar Association.
